Paper Sessions for Postgraduate Students
In order to attract young researchers enrolled in postgraduate programmes there will be two-three special paper sessions with a senior Chair and the discussants.
Guidelines for Papers
The organising committee is hereby requesting the participants to submit draft versions of their papers preferably by February 15, 2010, however BY FEBRUARY 28, AT THE OUTSIDE to: garri@ut.ee
The paper should be no longer than 25 pages (about 6-7000 words). It should be submitted both in MSWord file and .pdf file attached to an e-mail. The organisers will publish all papers on the conference web site and on CD ROM. Follow instructions below:
1) Line spacing - 1,5;
2) Font - Times New Roman 12 pt;
3) Alignment - justified;
4) Footnotes 10 pt, tables text no less than 10 pt;
5) Figures and tables should be numbered by Arabic numerals and inserted on separate pages after references (appendices), just indicate their approximate position in the manuscript;
6) Title of the paper in centre - Regular 14 pt Bold, followed by space 12pt;
7) Authors first and surname should be placed in centre; next line affiliation - both Regular 12 pt, followed by space 12pt; the full postal address of the author and e-mail as footnote;
8) Abstract up to 250 words - regular 12 pt, followed by space 12pt;
9) Text without tabs - space 12pt between paragraphs;
10) Subtitles (just left) - Regular 12 pt Bold, followed by space 12pt;
11) Page numbers (including first page) should be inserted on centre bottom of page;
12) References should be indicated in the text by giving the author's name and the year of publication, as follows: Hall (1998) or (Hall 1998).The references should be listed in full at the end of the paper in the following standard form:

Publications
We have an agreement to publish selected papers by international publishers (special issues of the European Planning Studies and the Journal of Baltic Studies). There will be also published special volume under the Department of Geography series.
CD ROM
All papers that have been received by e-mail (or on the CD) prior to February 28, 2010 will be published on CD ROM which participants will receive with registration.
