Summary of the paper (completed by organisers) This paper analyses situation and trends of the Baltic Sea gas market. There are strong tendencies to increase gas consumption in the Baltic Sea Countries. There reasons for that are very much environmental and economical but also relative closeness to the rich Nordic gas deposits plays important role. The Baltic Sea Countries will work further with the idea of the gas market integration, which has been strongly supported by the Nordic Prime Ministers as well as by the Gazprom. The concept of the Baltic Gas Ring will be therefore promising in the future. |
