Summary of the paper (completed by organisers) This paper analyses results of the survey investigating wide ring of
factors like basic facts about peoples everyday life, their attitudes
towards power structures and their social identification.
The amplifying center-periphery differences, rising unemployment, social
exclusion and other problems causing also clearly differentiating
attitudes of particular respondent groups towards the local authorities
and new developments. Pensioners, for instance, are expressing negative
attitudes to reforms and seriously spoke for rehabilitation of the
Soviet regime.
